The sky puts on its glasses
and tells you to notice elder trees
impersonating particle tracks,
ivy paper planes, seagull hooligans
tearing up clouds, neighbourhood
cats imitating WCW, the ageing garden
wall composing with notes of lichen,
wind-up toys of magpies, the escaped
zoo of weeds roaming the patio,
whatever has left you rooted here.
