and other poems
Wrote this in my Sleep
So many roseate summers ruined
by sermons to self,
fumbling to fit
into form not destined.
Purities of inner pilgrimages
helped me upping
myself as an accepter.
If only I had the humility
to unriddle dispatches
superscribed on the skyline,
this passage would be something else.
Lament
Symphonies of another summer
lure me to a lonesome walk
on the sideways of sorrow.
The sun helps by hiding in cirrus.
Moments such as this urge:
Salvation is in acceptance.
Your retinae blurred with bitterness
finds me exhausted and unanxious.
I cannot muster the energies
for exhumation. I gifted you
my dictionaries, so don’t inquire
about words that don’t dwell there.
Undertone
Anxieties from the fire
of ignited extensions
stir the coruscate
of our closeness, in tints
prettier than any palette
known to me. In such glow
I chafe to calmness.
The campaign starts with sojourns
far and further, of seas alien to me
of sand softer than imagined.
Your undersong hums its final strokes
as cinnamon of your chassis
speedballs me to the abundance
and ache in your eyes.
